Piano in the park – This rare Steinway & Sons Model A-III measures in at 6’ 4”. Built at the Steinway factory in Queen’s, New York in 1923, during the height of the “golden age” of piano manufacturing, it features an exquisite and ornate Louis XV styled case in walnut. The delicate scrollwork and hand-crafted details display the high level of skill of Steinway’s craftsmen of the early 20th century. Completely restored by Paul Hahn & Co. in 1974, it has remained in the home of one Toronto family, and has been maintained and tuned by Paul Hahn & Co. ever since. It is in excellent condition, with its original ivories. The Steinway Model A-III was produced for a short period and this beautiful example is a rare find. For over a century, Steinway & Sons has been the premier manufacturer of grand pianos that play beautifully and are works of art.
