Here’s to the 100s of Seattle and King County parks and open spaces! Regardless of where we live, work and play, our local parks are great economic equalizers – providing us all with green spaces to relax, exercise and connect with our communities. And let’s not forget the music and the arts, which also thrive in our area and are great connectors. Put all this together and you get: Pianos in the ParksGet out and Play!

Pianos in the Parks is a public-private partnership that uses the power of art and music to get us out to discover parks, connect with people, and have fun. We are truly a community effort, combining the great talents, visions and efforts of 18 different partner organizations. Watch a video by PlayNetwork from the July 16 launch at Lake Union Park.

Special Thanks

  • In addition to the primary partners, Pianos in the Parks has received generous support from several local companies and entities, making it possible for us all to discover, play and win. We’d especially like to thank LOVE CITY LOVE for their weekly performances, Saint Mark’s Episcopal Cathedral for providing space for painting pianos, the NW Art Alliance for their collaboration at Lake Union Park, and the Downtown Seattle Association for hosting a piano in Occidental Park. We are grateful for their generous support of this project.
  • In addition, we thank the following people and companies for “adopting” various pianos in the program to protect them from the rain: The Bellevue Library, Bellevue Botanical Gardens, KEXP and Port of Seattle.
